FAQ

Mercury settings directory
Your settings are stored in your user home, inside a directory called Mercury (or .Mercury on Linux).
On Windows XP this is C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Mercury\
On Mac OS X this is /Users/your username/Mercury/
On Linux this is /home/your username/.Mercury/
If you wish to backup your account settings, chat logs, incoming files, etc… all you need to do is make a backup of this directory.

Info logs
Mercury keeps a log of its own actions. These logs are called info logs. You can enable extra logging by going to Options, Global Settings, Other, Debug.
The files are stored in your settings directory, inside a directory called Debug. The filename format is InfoLog_DATE_TIME.txt.

Communication logs
Mercury also logs the messages it sends and receives. These logs are called communication logs.
The files are stored in your settings directory, inside a directory called Debug. The filename format is CommunicationLog_DATE_TIME_EMAIL.xml.
